Barnes & Noble Tote Bag

My bag for Barnes and Noble is now available in stores and online.

Hours were spent on its creation, with designs zapping back and forth around the globe. With the design studio in New York, me in New Zealand and production in Asia there was some serious FTP action going on. The great thing was that with the difference in time zones, we were all working 24 hours a day. I work, while the world sleeps!

You can see the evolution of colour in the sketches to the end result - the tote!

Thanks to the Christmas elves who loaded these totes onto a sleigh for me, so that I could get my hands on the finished item.

Studio News

I'm finally back in my studio and feeling inspired after 5 weeks of travel.

There are quite a few projects on the boil which I'm enjoying getting started on, including these little people on the left. They'll be popping up somewhere in the future.

Also, I've taken a peak at the lovely design alphabet and found a link back to my site. Thanks Jo.

Meanwhile at Mudpuppy you can currently see me featured under the "illustrator spotlight".

It was lovely to see my work mentioned at the ever-informative Partfaliaz site. Begun in February 2007 and based in Paris, Partfaliaz is gathering different graphics-related information that might be useful to creative people. It's all about inspiration.

My Paris Mural

After more than 10 years my mural is still in place in Paris. The Mairie de Paris commissioned this in 1997, and I love knowing a piece of me is always part of the streetscape.

Site goes live, I go travel

As my website finally goes live I have been travelling from my home in New Zealand to London, Paris and on to New York. I'll be back home mid-October, and will always be in touch via email.

So far I have met with my agent in Paris, Caroline, and her faithful "equipe", not to mention my dear friends and their ever-growing families.

I have also just stopped in at Riley Illustration in New York, and have met up with Teresa, Molly and Tsela who support me so expertly. It has been great to meet with clients too !
